Restylane is a synthetic hyaluronic acid gel dermal filler formulated to act like the body’s own hyaluronic acid to help smooth away wrinkles. This dermal filler can add fullness and volume to skin on the face and correct many problem areas with folds, wrinkles and fine lines like the corners of the mouth and fine lines around the nose. Restylane can also be used to create natural full-looking lips and is currently the only FDA-approved dermal filler for lip augmentation.
This dermal filler was designed to interact with the water in your skin cells to hydrate your skin and replace lost volume with a typical treatment lasting about six months.
